Filming, photography, interviews in the library – what applies?

The University Library is a public space, and it is allowed to photograph or film in the premises with certain restrictions. Please notify us a few days in advance and kindly follow the library’s etiquette guidelines.

Keep in mind that the library is both a workplace and a study environment for staff at Stockholm University, so try to find a secluded area for your activity.

It is not permitted to:
… film visitors who have not consented to being filmed.
… film, photograph, or conduct interviews on the upper floor, which is a silent zone, as well as in the Bergdahl Room.
… rearrange furniture or block off areas.
… connect equipment with high power consumption to the electrical outlets, such as strong spotlights, as this may cause fuses to blow.

Filming or photography for commercial purposes in the library must always have prior approval. Please send information or requests to: kommunikation.sub@su.se
