How the loan system upgrade on 23 June will affect you
The library’s loan system will be upgraded on 23 June. Some functions will be affected a few days beforehand.
On Thursday 18 June at 13:00, the following services will be suspended:
On Monday 22 June at approximately 16:00, the following functions will be suspended:
You will be able to borrow books, but only at the information desks.
RETURNS
Returns can be made in a box, but the books will not be removed from your account until the systems are back up and running. This will not result in any additional late fees.
THE CATALOGUE
The catalogue may display incorrect copy information, so a book that appears to be available may actually be on loan.
DIGITAL RESOURCES
Databases, e-journals and e-books can be accessed as usual.
On Thursday 18 June at 13:00, the following services will be suspended:
- Ordering purchases/interlibrary loans
- Ordering from the closed stacks
- Ordering interlibrary loans for other libraries
On Monday 22 June at approximately 16:00, the following functions will be suspended:
- Logging in to My Library Account
- The option to activate or create a library account
- The ability to join the queue for borrowed books
- The ability to hire and queue for keys to lockers.
