  • The University Library is a public library, and the public has the right to utilize the offices, printed materials, and the staff’s knowledge. In order to borrow our books, you must be over the age of 18 and present a photo identification card that was issued in Sweden. Visit the information desk and we will help you get a library card. You can read our loan terms and rules here.

Please note that there are some restrictions on what you can borrow. In order to borrow books from our textbook collection you have to be a student or a researcher at Stockholm university. When you have searched for a book in our catalogue, look under ”Lånepolitik” in the grey square. If it says ”Kurslitteratur”, you will not be able to borrow the book. But you will be able to borrow all books where it under ”Lånepolitik” says ”Hemlån 28 dagar” or ”MAG Hemlån”. It is also possible to access our e-resources while in the library. At the information desk you can get a temporary login. The login will work on your personal computer and two of Frescati library computers. You must be on the university campus for the login to work.

Do not hesitate to ask us about any questions you might have. We are here to guide you, so that you can easily find what you are looking for.
