The course literature I ordered does not appear when searched

The following book cannot be searched by my students; they think it doesn't exist in the library: ordered (2018/04/03)_ The Imperial Museums of Meiji Japan: Architecture and the Art of the Nation, ALICE Y. TSENG, University of Washington Press 2008 9780295987774

  • Thank you for your question!

When you ordered the book you did not specify that it was a course book.

All course books are placed at the Frescati library, not available for direct delivery and ordered by e-mailing list of course literature to kurslitteratur_sub@su.se.

I have now bought a few copies of the book to the course book collection. When the books are available you will find them in our library catalog. You cannot reserve course books before they arrive.

  • Thanks a lot! But there seems to be a misunderstanding. My point was your online CATALOG, not COURSE LITERATURE. That is to say, I ordered the resp. book last fall, and it was indicated in your online catalog, but it isn't anymore. Now I would like to know WHY, and how I (and my students) can find the book when searching online. -- Sorry for inconvenience!

As for the course, I listed it as RECOMMENDED LITERATURE, and as such we do not need more than the one copy that was already supposed to be in the library.
  • The book is no longer a part of our collection, it has gone missing.

We do not buy new copies of missing books unless they are a part of the course book collection or requested again after they are lost.

There are new copies of the book on its way to the course book collection and your students can find them in our catalogue when they arrive.
