Which referencing style should you choose when writing an academic text?

There are several different styles you can use when referring to your sources. For example, there’s APA, Harvard, and Oxford, to name a few. When citing your sources the most important thing to remember is to pick one style – and then to keep using that one consistently.
Keep in mind that some styles have different variations, so make sure to check with your teacher/supervisor and see if there’s a style/variation they prefer you use for your program or course.
